The Henley College proudly presented a cheque for £437 to Adrian Marsh, Chair of Trustees at Riverside Counselling Service, in recognition of the fantastic fundraising efforts of students and staff.
Adrian Marsh expressed his gratitude, saying,
"Riverside is really pleased with the support from The Henley College. Thank you to everyone involved - it’s brilliant, as counselling is quite an expensive service to run, and we rely heavily on fundraising. It’s especially nice to see young people learning more about Riverside and understanding that counselling services are available should they ever need support with their mental health. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the College in the years to come."
Adrian Marsh was joined by Simon Spearman, Principal of The Henley College, and Libby Robey, Student Union President, for the cheque presentation.
The funds were raised through various activities organised by staff and students, following an inspiring talk before Christmas from Riverside Counselling’s CEO Sophie Wellings to the College’s Psychology students. Plans are already in place for further talks to tutors, aiming to strengthen this valuable partnership and raise awareness about mental health support within the community.
