Bursary Fund

16-19 DISCRETIONARY BURSARY FUND 2024-25: 

A student must be aged 16-18 on 31 August 2024 to be eligible for help from the bursary fund in the 2024 to 2025 academic year. 

Students aged 19 or over are only eligible to receive a discretionary bursary if they are continuing on a study programme they began aged 18 on 31 August 2024 or have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). 

Applications are still open for current students enrolled for the 2023-24 academic year, please email transportandbursary@henleycol.ac.uk  for further information.

ONCE APPLICATIONS AND EVIDENCE HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED, PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 20 WORKING DAYS TO PROCESS APPLICATIONS. A MEMBER OF STAFF WILL BE IN TOUCH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WITH FURTHER INFORMATION.

Financial Assistance Declaration 2024-2025

PROVIDING EVIDENCE 

For the 2024-25 academic year, applications for bursaries will be online forms. Once the online application form has been completed the accompanying evidence must be emailed to transportandbursary@henleycol.ac.uk. Evidence must be downloaded as PDF documents, for example if the accompanying evidence is Universal Credit statements, you must log into your account and download the three most recent statements and save them as PDFs. We cannot accept screenshot details. 

Evidence which cannot be downloaded in the form of a PDF will need to be CLEARLY scanned and then emailed in the form of a PDF. We CANNOT accept photographs of the evidence or for the files to be saved as JPEGs or other imagery file types. 

Attaching documents to email

PDFs must be saved as the name of the document (e.g. Universal Credit) and the page number(s). All documents must be attached to one email, please do not send multiple emails with attachments. The email subject must be the student's full name and identify the type of bursary that is being applied for. In the main text of the email please also confirm the students full name, date of birth, and type of bursary also.

Alternative scanning options

If you do not have access to a printer/copier please try the below options: 

IOS 

  1. Open notes app
  2. Create new note
  3. Click on the camera and select Scan Documents
  4. Crop image so that all of the document is clear and visible
  5. Save
  6. Add further documents by repeating steps 3 -5.
  7. Export PDFs via email

Android 

  1. Open Google Drive
  2. Create new
  3. Scan document
  4. Click OK
  5. Save document
  6. Export PDFs via email 

Other

For devices that do not have built in scanning options please download a scanning app e.g. Simple Scanner.

EDUCATION HEALTH AND CARE PLAN STUDENTS (EHCP) STUDENTS

Students should apply for transport assistance through their local county council. For assistance with the college-run coaches for the 2024-25 academic year, please send copies of official letters/emails to transportandbursary@henleycol.ac.uk. Alternatively, full payment can be made for the coach and the transport and bursary team can assist with completing the necessary paperwork from the county council to receive a reimbursement.
