College life isn’t just about studying. There are many other aspects to experience, and we are committed to offering you an exciting and diverse Enrichment programme. As part of your study programme, you will complete 30 hours of activity which enriches your time at the college.
Enrichment is a social part of college life where you will be able to learn new skills or develop existing skills, play a sport, or join one of many clubs. Most importantly, it is a great way to settle in and make friends.
The college works with the Student Union to listen to what its student community wants in terms of enriching activities. There are 3 foundations to the programme - Sport and Wellbeing, Community and Social Clubs and Skills to help your Future, with students able to enjoy a broad range of opportunities across many areas of interest. Enrichment is launched and promoted on a termly basis so that we can offer as many opportunities for students to sign up to. We encourage student-led enrichment groups that develop leadership skills, as well as ensure we are offering the activities our students wish to engage with.
The Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award is for young people aged 16+ to can gain essential skills and attributes for work and life, such as resilience, problem-solving, team-working, communication and drive, enhancing CVs for university and job applications.
