While The Henley College is committed to making our website fully accessible, we have identified some issues identified within this statement that would place a disproportionate burden on us to fix at this time due to resource constraints. In making this judgment, we have considered the size, resources, and nature of The Henley College, as well as the impact on users with disabilities.
Given the financial and technical resources required, fixing this issue right now would place a disproportionate burden on the College. However, users can still access the main content of the site using alternative methods.
We have invested considerable resources into improving overall accessibility, including launching a new website in 2024, designed with accessibility as a priority. This website adheres to many of the latest WCAG 2.2 AA standards. Despite this, some remaining issues cannot be resolved immediately without significant additional cost or external supplier support.
We continually review the accessibility of our website and will reassess this issue in 12 months to determine whether circumstances have changed and whether we can make further improvements.
PDFs and other documents: Some PDFs and Word documents are essential for our services. Documents published before 23 September 2018 are not required to comply with the regulations unless they are necessary for providing services. All new documents will meet accessibility standards.
Video content: We do not plan to add captions to live video streams as this is exempt from accessibility regulations. Pre-recorded videos published before 23 September 2020 are also exempt. All new video content will include appropriate captions, audio descriptions, and transcripts as required.
This statement was prepared on 19th September 2024 and last reviewed in April 2024.
The website was last tested on 19th September 2024. Testing was conducted by The Henley College, using a combination of manual testing, semi-automated tools, and assistive technology reviews.
