The Henley College is proud to announce another year of strong academic success, with an impressive A-level pass rate of 92% and a Year 2 vocational pass rate of 97%. This year's results reflect the commitment and hard work of both our students and staff.

Among the 35 A-level subjects offered at The Henley College, 13 subjects achieved a pass rate of over 95%. Furthermore, 14 subjects saw 60% or more of their students attain A* to C grades, and 18 subjects boasted 30% or more students achieving A* to B grades. Notably, 33% of our students earned grades A*-B, maintaining the high standard set in the previous academic year. 

Our vocational courses also delivered exceptional outcomes, with 52% of students across 16 courses attaining grades equivalent to AAB or better at A-level. 

Florence Wrake, from Shiplake, achieved an outstanding set of results: A*A*AA in French, Maths, Philosophy, Physics, and the Extended Project. Florence will be continuing her academic journey at Mansfield College, University of Oxford, where she will study Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). Reflecting on her time at The Henley College, Florence said,

"I feel very relieved, grateful, and proud that all my hard work has paid off. I'm excited to move forward and start studying at university. My favourite memory from The Henley College is the work placement we did in French class at a local school - it really felt like being part of a new community. I’m so glad I chose The Henley College; my teachers were incredibly helpful and engaging, and I will remember my time here fondly."

Eve Hoskin, from Reading, achieved A*BB in Politics, Economics & Psychology. She will be going to Cambridge University to study the Foundation Year in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Eve said,

“I’m so happy with my results, especially politics as this is the subject I always wanted to progress onto in university. I’m so glad all my hard work before and during the exams paid off.”

Harriet Bentata, from Caversham, excelled in her Vocational Diploma in Creative Media Production, earning a Distinction. Harriet shared her experience, stating,

"Choosing a course that I was truly interested in rather than following the traditional A-level route was the best decision I ever made. I’m excited to continue my journey in film and production at university and am really looking forward to the future."

Neave Stark, from Marlow completed a Vocational Diploma in Music Production achieving a Triple Distinction. She said,

“I feel amazed and proud of myself for doing the hard work even when I found it challenging to achieve my grade.”

Neave will be going on to Bath Spa to study Music Performance. 

 

Oliver Lawrence, from Twyford, completed a Vocational Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services with a DDM (Distinction, Distinction, Merit). He expressed his satisfaction with his results, saying,

"I'm very happy with what I got, and I'm glad everyone else did well on my course too. These results have opened doors for me to start my basic training in the Royal Air Force, where I will be working in cyberspace or firefighting."

Ethan Longhurst, from Marlow, achieved a remarkable D*D*D* (Triple Distinction) in his Vocational Diploma in Sports, Fitness, and Personal Training. Ethan remarked,

"I'm really happy with my results and enormously proud of all the hard work I put in to achieve the highest grade possible. I enjoyed the practical side of my course at The Henley College, made lots of friends, and created many memories."

Ethan plans to take a gap year before deciding on his next steps.
