The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC) had a meeting for the Care Sector Workforce Development Partnership (WDP). The event, hosted by The Henley College, was to discuss workforce development in the care sector, and saw participation from numerous prominent organizations.
The Henley College was represented by Vice Principle, Eamonn Egan and Health Studies Teacher, Suzanne King, joining a diverse group of attendees including representatives from Acacia Homecare, Activate Learning, Aria Care, Bluebird Care, Browns Community Services, Develop Your People Ltd, DWP, Hallmark Foundation, New Directions College, OxLEP, Skills for Care, St Lukes Hospital Oxford, WFCG, and the Thames Valley Skills Unit.
During the meeting, Eamonn delivered a presentation focusing on student recruitment for healthcare courses across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Buckinghamshire. The presentation highlighted pathways for students to progress into employment within the care sector, addressing the critical need for skilled professionals in this field.
The event fostered productive discussions and collaborations, aiming to enhance workforce development and support for the care sector in the Thames Valley region.
