Entry Requirements: Maths grade 6, English grade 4. Plus one 5 and three 4s from your remaining subjects.

COURSE OVERVIEW

A Level Accounting will enable students to develop quantitative data analysis and interpretation skills, whilst the inclusion of ethics and an emphasis on management accounting will give students the confidence to communicate information to non-accountants and future clients.

COURSE STRUCTURE

  • Standard costing and variance analysis
  • Absorption and activity based costing
  • Capital investment appraisal
  • Accounting for organisations with incomplete records
  • Partnership accounts
  • Accounting for limited companies
  • Interpretation, analysis and communication of accounting information
  • The impact of ethical considerations

LIFE AFTER HENLEY

Studying Accounting will provide a student with one of the most sought after skills in any business. An understanding of the financial health is of utmost importance to any business and all businesses employ the services of accountants to look after their financial affairs. Accounting knowledge can be very useful for you if you decide to be an entrepreneur in future, become a thriving finance professional or just lend a hand in the running of your family business.

ENRICHMENT
